The Baghmara Reserve Forest is a major crowd puller and tourist attraction .Baghmara, located at a distance of about 4 km from the main town is a thick forest inhabited by langurs, birds of different species, elephants, etc. The Forest Reserve begins from the famous Simsang Bridge of the town and touches Panda Reserve on the way from Baghmara to Rongara. The place is rich in bio diversity as a variety of plants and trees can be seen here. There is an abundance of elephants and many tourists have reported sighting herds of elephants as they travelled from Baghmara to Balpakram National Park via Baghmara Reserve Forest. Their discipline and organizational skills will very well astound anyone. There is also a provision for elephant rides in this place...  It is also a bird watchers paradise. Tourists can spot the insectivorous pitcher plant or the spirits basket that are popular in the area. One can also learn the culture and tradition of the Garo tribes.
